The day has arrived. It's finally getting cold, and I'm in desperate need of a thicker coat. My leather jacket only helps so much, because even though it is warm, it doesn't close where it needs to, leaving me freezing. And the winds of winter are approaching quickly. Why, did I as a southerner ever move to the north? For a valid reason, to get away from the heat. At least I can warm up in Winter. It takes forever to cool down in Summer.
For this reason, I decided to take a little excursion to a mall not too far down from me, named Галерея. What I find funny, is that in Houston we have a mall with the exact same name, Galleria. On the way there, I took some pictures of several things I found interesting. One of these pictures is the flag of Chile because.... It's similar to the Texan flag and I got really excited, so I took a picture of it to talk about my misery! I thought I found a barbeque place...
Now back to the Галерея, it's quite a nice mall, similar to the ones in America, or even Europe. What's the difference? I don't know. You still get pestered by the people who own stands in the middle of the hallway, and to make it even better, it's quite easy to navigate the whole may. (I usually get hopelessly lost.)
So, I found a store I liked, went inside, scoured for a coat that I would like, and alas! I finally found it! It had a nice lining on the inside and in the hood, insulated, and my favorite thing, pockets on the inside! Now I don't have to use my pants pockets!
But after leaving the mall, I started my walk towards the Летний Сад (Summer Garden). On the way there, I took some pictures of Nevsky, and after finally turning on the River Фонтаны, I finally noticed that I was hungry due to my fatigue, and went into a very interesting place, Latino's Cafe and Bar.
I only got their business lunch which consisted of normal Russian food, but I did chat up the bartender, and found out that he's from Cuba, which made me more than ecstatic! I also tried to buy Havana Club, but to no avail, they were sold out.
After departing from there, I went down the Фонтаны river, and took pictures of some cool places.
Once arriving at the Летний Сад, I went inside, and of course, took videos and pictures of everything. It was quite relaxing, and I did spend quite a bit of time in there, but the cold was going through my super thin jacket, and I was not in the mood to use my new coat. So I decided to go home, and upon going through the exit at the end, it was when I realized that I had actually been at this park before. Upon leaving, I passed by the Field of Mars, which is where I'm going to try to go next if weather permits.
And of course, the lovely video support (With my wickedly ugly voice!)
