A weekend in which I spent my Friday cooking Arroz con Lecher, and my Saturday marathoning Lord of the Rings, and the new Fantastical beasts and where to find them (which was so much better than the Harry Potter movies and books, in my opinion. But I'm also a sucker for the roaring twenties), I decided to tag along to an excursion on Sunday to Erarta, the Museum of Contemporary Arts.
To start, I'm not a huge fan of contemporary art, but it was something to do on an otherwise depressing saturday, and it kept me busy. Of course, there were some interesting art works in there, and the one I liked way too much, and even edited on Instagram to make it more to my liking is below.
But, let's start off with my day. So, as per usual, it is grey and rainy in Saint Petersburg. There is no direct way to the museum other than by bus, and the only bus directly there is on Nevsky. So I take the walk to Nevsky, get on the bus, and start heading there. But alas, I got off 5 stops behind, since there was a detour because of construction, so I had to walk to the museum, in the rain. Not fun.
Arriving to the museum was okay, and as I said already, the art was pretty cool, but I really only liked a few pieces of art.

After the museum, we went to this cafe, which would have been good, had they removed the spines from the fish I was eating. I lost my appetite, since I was chewing on about 3 or 4 spines, and I didn't want to finish the dish. So, of course, I don't like that place. After a depressing walk home, one filled with if, ands or buts in my head, I made it home, and did my homework. I thought it was super late outside, since I was judging by the sunlight, but, it was actually only 6:30 PM. I finished most of my homework by around 7:30, and took that time to keep working on my novel, since I haven't worked on it since I went to Moscow. What a pity. But, luckily, I'm well on track to finish by November, since I just finished Chapter 5, and will work as much as possible on it on Monday and Tuesday, even if I am writing my blog on Monday morning, so chapter 6 is done.
I just like to date these with the day I actually went to the location, since it helps me remember. Also, it's nice to be able to reflect back on those days, but Sunday wasn't really worth reflecting at. I just can't wait for winter, so I'll have time by myself, and not be confined to a schedule (I'm pretty sure I will only leave the room to go to the gym, bathroom, kitchen, and occasionally a museum, and or course to Kazan.)
