Pushkin: The Man, The Myth, The Legend

On a whim, I decided to leave the apartment and go out onto the street, since my laziness had made me bored, and I just wanted to go out. The sun was out, and the weather was nice, so why not?

I made my way down to Nevsky, and turned onto a street I had never gone down before. I wanted an adventure, and I wasn't going to be let down. I went where my feet would take me.

Apparently, that ended up being Pushkin's Museum, since I was planning on going there forever, and my mind unconsciously decided to take me to the famous Moika 12.

I went through the gates, and started to smile wildly once Pushkin's statue came into sight. Like most Russian language students, I'm an avid fan of Pushkin, and one of my goals, although impossible to reach, is to be able to write like Pushkin. I bought my ticket (The charge for picture taking), and went into the museum.

I was surprised at how beautiful everything was, and the audioguide I was forced to buy a ticket for actually made sense, since it passed by every room. I was told about Pushkin's time in the palace at Moika 12, and his final days, and what led up to his fateful duel.

After leaving quite content, at the exit is Pushkin's death mask and hair, and let me tell you, he wasn't a bad looking man at all.

По наитию я решил выйти из квартиры на улице, потому что мне было скучно лениться и я хотел гулять. Солнце было в небе, погода была хорошая. Почему не гулять?

Я шёл на невский проспект и свернул на улицу, на которой я никогда не был. Я просто хотел бродить.

Видимо, я появился в дом музей А.С. Пушкина. Я там всегда хотел идти, но сегодня мой ум решил туда пойти на Мойку 12

Я прошёл через ворота и дико улыбнулся, когда я видел памятник Пушкину. Как все иностранцы, я обажаю Пушкина и моя цель в жизни - Писать как Пушкин. Я купил мой билет и зашёл в музей.

Я был удивлен тем, как красиво всё было и я был вынужден купить аудиогид, но он очень помогал, потому что он работал в каждой комнате. Аудиогпд рассказал о последных днях Пушкина и его время на Мойке 12 и что привело его к роковой дуэли.

Я был так рад когда я закончил ходить в музее. Маска смерти и волосы Пушкина возле выхода. Но, с моей точки зрения, он очень симпатичный.
