Another university excursion. I can't say that I don't enjoy them, because that would be a lie. I love them. They give me a chance to go to different museums and events, and help increase my understanding of Russian life and culture. This time, we went to the State Museum of Political History of Russia. It's a mouthful, I know.
The museum starts off at the turn of the 19th century, with the assassination of Pavel the First, and the beginning of Alexander the First's reign. That is when the period of true reform began to the motherland. It then continues on to the freeing of the serfs, and several events along the way, up until the revolution, and beyond.
I enjoyed the museum, since it contained interactive displays where you could read documents written by the people sent to the Gulags, and different artifacts of life from the Soviet Union, including after the fall of the USSR, and the rise of Putin.
With the completely autocratic nature of Russian politics (up until the breakup of the USSR (or maybe not.)), the style of politics that has reigned throughout history is always an interesting thing to see. Accompanied by my friend Grisha, who is studying history, it was quite nice to see History through the lens of a historian (or one studying to be one), and instead of getting the dull museum explanation, you get the feeling of interest of it from an actual person who makes this their field.
Also at the palace is Lenin's office, during his time in Saint-Petersburg (Petrograd), and different sub museums of life in Russia, such as Food, the Duma, and so on.
Afterwards, we were treated to dinner at a place called the Ginza Project, which, according to Grisha, is one of the most expensive restaurants in the city. It sure did taste expensive, since the portions were tiny. I felt myself wanting for food, but luckily, by the time I got home, I was already full (after eating some chocolate.)

Ещё одна экскурсия университета. Я не могу сказать, что их мне не нравится, потому что мне нравится ходить в музеях. Я могу видеть разные музеи и они помогают мне понимать историю и культуру в России. Сегодня, мы ходили в Государственном Музей Политической Истории России.
Осмотра начинается в России в XIV веке, когда Павел Первый был убил и когда Александер Первый стал царем. Реформы начали в этом веке в Родине. От когда крепостные были освобождены до революции и после.
Мне понравился музей, потому что я мог трогать и читать разные документы, которые написали много людей, которые были в гулаги, разные вещи во время СССР и приход Путина.
С самодержавной природы России, стиль политики, которая царила на протяжении всей истории-это всегда интересно посмотреть. Мой друг Гриша был со мной и он учится,чтобы стать Историком и он помогал мне понимать всё в музее.
В Дворце есть кабинет Ленина, когда он был в Петрограде, и в дворце тоже есть маленькие музеи о Думе России и кухня.
С университетом, мы шли в ресторане <<Ginza Project>>, который, как Гриша мре сказал, самый дорогой ресторан в Питере. Всё было вкусно, но я хотел есть больше, но когда я вернулся дома, я был сид, благодаря шоколаду.
