Into the Motherland with Roberto: The Death of Rasputin

The Yusupov Palace, or the Moika Palace as it is also known, is located on the Moika River near the Mariinsky Theater. I was supposed to go there in April with the university, but due to my plans to go to Tbilisi, Georgia, I decided to go on my own during my free time.

I went to Ulitsa Dekabristov, since that is one fo my many routes to and from the university, and apparently, I was trying to break into the palace from the back. It helped that I asked the security guard where exactly the entrance was. His response was the Moika river, which made sense, because it is more picturesque.

After getting my shoes slightly covered in mud, I found the cashier, and paid 500 rubles, yes, 500 rubles for a single ticket. And that was the student price. It didn't even include a tour guide or anything. What horrible pricing just for a palace.

I went inside, and there was a very nice and friendly museum staff member, who helped me locate my way around, because the palaces here make no sense in the direction they go, and tried to give me a map in English, but I wouldn't have any of it, and demanded one in Russian. She seemed to be proud of my attempts at learning her language, and led me to the start of the exhibition with a smile. Yes, a smile. What a surprise in Russia! (They actually smile often here, contrary to popular belief. Well, the younger people do thanks to western influence.)

Now, the part that made me mad was the fact that the Rasputin part of the museum is only open at night, as they relive that "Dreadful night" But the courtyard in which he was killed now houses a playground.

Дворец Юсуповых или Дворец Юсуповых на Мойке, находится на Реке Мойки, рядом с Мариинском Театром. Я хотел там пойти с университетом, но у меня рейс в Грузию в эти выходные. Поэтому, я решил ходить туда в свободное время.

Я шёл на Улицу Декабристов, потому чтоб когда я хожу в университет, я всегда хожу мимо от дворца. К сожалению, этот вход для работников и я спросил охране где вход и они сказала на Мойке. Я просто дурак. Я забылб что это дворец находится НА МОЙКЕ.

После того, как мои ботинки слегка запылился, я нашёл Кассу и купил мой билет. Я заплатил 500 рублей и у меня было студентическая скидка! Как дорого! У меня нет экскурсавода или аудиогидю Мой бумажник плакал.

Я вошёл внутрь, и там была одна прекрасная работника, которая помогала мне найти начало осмотра, потому что найти разные место в дворцах ужасно. Она дала мне карта Дворца на русском, но в начала, она хотела на английском. Я её сказал, что я хорошо понимаю русский и мне нужна карта на русском. Она улыбнулась. какой сюприз это был в России. Человек, который улыбается. По-моему мнение, это было только потому что она молодая.

Мне сердито, из-за осмотри Распутина. Осмотра Распутина начинается в 5 часов вечера, или с экскурсаводом, но я не хотел ждать и не хотел заплатить больше. Но, Юсупов убил Распутина в этом дворце и место где Распутин умер сейчас детский парк.
